Role overview

Irish Lights is looking for a Monitoring Systems Officer to join its Coastal Operations Team at headquarters in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin. The position reports to the Support and Planning Manager and focuses on daytime oversight, reporting, and broader analysis of the Aids to Navigation (AtoN) systems as well as building management systems.

Main purpose of the role

A key part of the job is to help ensure Maritime Safety Information is broadcast effectively to vessels at sea. In parallel, the role supports coordination with colleagues in Coastal Operations and the Navigation, Maritime and Consenting (NMC) department to identify faults, analyse issues, and help resolve critical defects and outages affecting electronic AtoN systems, including documenting corrective and preventative actions.
