Role Overview
The company is looking for a proactive, organized Mid-Level Recruiter to support hiring for residential construction projects. This person will help attract, evaluate, and secure strong candidates, while acting as a connector between hiring managers and external recruiting partners. The role suits someone with recruitment experience who does well in a busy, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs, with a focus on roles such as project engineers, superintendents, and administrative support staff.
- Partner with third-party recruiters to identify and source suitable talent.
- Develop community-based hiring channels by connecting with trade schools, colleges, resource centers, and similar organizations.
- Work with hiring managers to clarify role expectations, job requirements, and team fit.
- Share candidate shortlists, interview schedules, and recruiter feedback with hiring managers.
- Coordinate communication between outside recruiters and internal teams to keep the hiring process moving smoothly.
- Organize interview scheduling and ensure timely follow-up with candidates and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and current records in the applicant tracking system.
- Serve as the main contact for candidates during the recruitment process and help create a positive candidate experience.
- Conduct initial screenings and assess alignment with both the role and company culture.
- Monitor recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality.
- Use hiring data and partner feedback to improve recruiting efficiency and process quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of recruitment experience, ideally in construction, engineering, or a similar field.
- Solid understanding of recruitment practices, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems, especially Lever, and HR software such as NetSuite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and hiring regulations.
Preferred Experience
- Background working with staffing agencies or third-party recruiters.
- Familiarity with roles and skill sets commonly found in residential construction.
- HR or recruitment certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or AIRS are a plus.
