About the role
Zinfra is looking for a qualified plumber who wants a steadier routine and a different kind of challenge. In this position, you will join the Meter Compliance team and contribute to gas infrastructure work across the ACT, helping maintain and upgrade metering systems used by homes and businesses.
This opportunity is aimed at people who want a long-term, stable position with regular hours, modern equipment, and a collaborative workplace. It is well suited to plumbers who are ready to move away from traditional hands-on trade work and into essential infrastructure operations.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and replacement work on gas and hot water meters, including remote billing devices.
- Spot installations that do not meet compliance standards and resolve issues carefully and accurately.
- Support new connections and upgrade work in the field as part of a coordinated team.
- Use digital systems and tools to record reports and manage jobs efficiently.
- Provide strong customer service and maintain positive working relationships with different stakeholders.
Culture and benefits
- Access to novated leasing, EV subscription options, and corporate discounts on vehicle purchases.
- Work with modern trucks, advanced EWPs, and up-to-date tools and equipment.
- Join a supportive depot environment with a strong social and team culture.
- Receive 20 days of annual leave plus more than 10 days of personal leave.
- Contribute to Australia’s net zero future through infrastructure work that supports the energy and utilities sector.
About you
You should be a practical, safety-minded plumber who enjoys teamwork and takes pride in making a difference. The role suits someone who wants variety, responsibility, and exposure to new technology while helping keep gas metering systems across the ACT operating smoothly.
