Role overview

Join the MEP supervision team in Dubai as an Electrical Inspector, where you will oversee electrical works on construction projects and verify that all installations comply with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, project requirements, approved drawings, and relevant codes and standards.

This position involves active site coordination with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to maintain installation quality, keep inspections on schedule, and support successful testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.

Key duties

  • Carry out regular site checks for electrical works across HV and LV systems, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency lighting, UPS and generator systems, and low current systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and PA systems.
  • Review inspection requests and complete inspections promptly.
  • Compare site execution with approved shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and authority rules.
  • Spot deviations from requirements and raise observations or NCRs when needed.
  • Track material approvals, deliveries, and the quality of installation work.
  • Keep accurate inspection logs, daily records, and quality-control documentation.
  • Work with contractors and other disciplines to close site issues.
  • Witness testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover activities.
  • Assist senior engineers with the review of electrical submittals and related technical paperwork.

Qualifications and experience

Candidates should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and bring 5 to 8 years of UAE experience in electrical inspection and supervision.
