Market & Data Analyst

Role overview

Dangote Petroleum & Petrochemicals is hiring a Market & Data Analyst to support commercial decision-making in Zambia. The role focuses on market intelligence, forecasting, pricing analysis, performance tracking, customer insights, and data strategy improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, combine, and interpret information on the market and competitors to help shape and execute strategy.
• Assist with weekly and monthly forecasting activities as well as demand planning.
• Track pricing trends and analyse margins in both domestic and export markets.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for country and group-level reporting.
• Analyse customer and segment performance to guide both strategic and operational actions.
• Design and implement a stronger data strategy, including automation and modelling.

Education and experience

• A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, in business, economics, statistics, or a related field is required.
• A Full Grade 12 School Certificate is required.
• Applicants should have strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MySQL, and Power BI.
• The role calls for at least 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
