Role overview
AD Ports Group is seeking a Manager for Compensation & Benefits within HC&E to take ownership of the organization’s global total rewards approach. In this role, you will shape compensation and benefits practices that are competitive in the market, equitable internally, and aligned with the group’s wider strategy.
The position involves partnering with external HR advisory firms, steering compensation cycles, guiding leaders on reward decisions, and building the overall compensation and benefits philosophy, policies, and programs for the group.
What you will do
- Create and roll out global total rewards policies and frameworks that match AD Ports Group strategy and industry standards.
- Coordinate with external HR advisors for salary benchmarking, review of pay structures, and market comparisons.
- Track global compensation movements and regulatory updates to keep pay structures competitive and fair.
- Offer guidance on salary positioning, pay bands, and broader rewards design.
- Build and manage short- and long-term incentive programs that remain aligned with global reward principles.
- Oversee annual salary reviews and bonus planning so they reflect performance and market data.
- Run the job evaluation process for new roles and review existing roles using the AD Ports Group grading system and HAY Guide Chart Profile Method.
- Work closely with Recruitment to support talent attraction through competitive compensation and benefits offerings.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership and the Remuneration Committee on policy and benefits changes.
- Own and govern the group’s compensation and benefits philosophy, strategy, and related programs.
- Maintain compensation policies and procedures in line with AD Ports Group requirements and legislation.
- Negotiate with external providers on benefit plans and evaluate proposals for new offerings.
- Carry out benchmarking and market research on salaries, trends, and benefits, then turn findings into implementation plans.
- Develop salary scales for new businesses, countries, or regions while staying within the global rewards strategy.
- Design the global mobility policy for international assignments and relocations.
- Monitor and assess how compensation and benefits strategies are implemented to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Run knowledge-sharing sessions for employees and train HR colleagues on compensation and benefits topics.
Leadership and people management
- Respond to employee questions about compensation and benefits with professionalism while protecting confidentiality.
- Provide clear direction, oversight, and support to the team, with accountability as a core standard.
- Take part in hiring and restructuring efforts to ensure the team includes the right capabilities and cultural fit.
Strategic focus
- Reassess and redesign the global compensation strategy in line with business goals, processes, and market competitiveness.
- Simplify global pay practices and related policies where possible.
- Develop a global total compensation model covering compensation, benefits, work/lifestyle rewards, and career/development rewards while staying within HR budget limits.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree will be considered an advantage. GRP (Global Remuneration Professional) and Korn Ferry Job Evaluation Methodology certification/knowledge are essential.
