Role overview
We are hiring an experienced and driven Administration & HR Manager for an energy-sector client in Abuja, Nigeria. The position reports to the Country Manager and is responsible for keeping office operations, project support, and core HR administration running effectively.
Core responsibilities
- Direct the day-to-day running of the Nigeria office and project locations, making sure operations stay organized, policies are followed, records are maintained, and supplies and office infrastructure remain in good order.
- Support rural solar mini-grid projects with administration, logistics, and procurement, including arranging accommodation, transport, site setup, and movement of materials and equipment.
- Serve as the main administrative partner to the Country Manager by coordinating schedules, travel, meetings, reports, and communication with internal teams and outside stakeholders.
- Oversee vendors, service providers, purchasing activities, office facilities, upkeep, security, and the establishment of new offices or project sites.
- Arrange local and international travel, including visas, lodging, transport, and logistics for meetings and company events.
- Carry out fundamental HR duties such as onboarding, employee record management, attendance and leave tracking, recruitment support, payroll inputs, employee engagement, and observance of local labour rules.
- Maintain statutory registrations, licenses, permits, and insurance documents, while ensuring alignment with local regulations and company procedures.
- Manage administrative budgets, keep expenses under control, process invoices, and work with the Finance team on vendor payments.
- Track company assets and inventory, monitor allocation, and conduct periodic verification and audits.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in administration, office management, or HR administration.
- Background in project-based businesses, especially infrastructure, energy, power, or construction, is preferred.
- Experience managing multi-location operations and remote project sites will be considered an added advantage.
