Description de l'emploi
About the Company
Controlled Environments Company (CEC) is a specialised supplier and solutions partner for organisations working in highly controlled, clean-environment settings. Founded in 1996, it supports major multinational manufacturers in the microelectronics, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, life sciences, and medical device sectors.
Role Overview
CEC is looking for a Maintenance Planner Scheduler (MPS) to support a client that is a leading multinational manufacturer. This position is central to improving how maintenance work is planned and carried out, strengthening equipment reliability, and helping day-to-day operations run efficiently.
Working as part of an embedded team, you will organise short-term and longer-range maintenance plans, oversee spare-parts stock, and use performance data to identify better ways of working. The role contributes to reducing downtime, making better use of resources, and supporting the client’s wider goals around operational excellence and sustainability.
Key Duties
- Plan, maintain, and update daily and long-range maintenance schedules in Maximo (EAM) and SAP MES (ERP).
- Revise schedules when priorities shift, urgent work arises, or resource levels change.
- Prepare, check, and rank work orders so they contain the necessary labour, parts, materials, and tools.
- Run planning and scheduling discussions with engineering staff, technicians, and operations leaders.
- Oversee spare-parts and materials inventory, including buying support and coordination with suppliers.
- Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements, client procedures, and health and safety standards.
- Review maintenance metrics and performance information using BI tools to drive continuous improvement.
- Raise factory impact requests and keep operations informed about upcoming maintenance activity.
- Contribute to sustainability efforts by supporting maintenance practices that reduce energy use and waste.
Background and Qualifications
Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or coordination within manufacturing or industrial settings is preferred. Familiarity with CMMS/EAM platforms, especially Maximo, and ERP systems such as SAP MES is advantageous. A solid grasp of maintenance approaches including preventive, predictive, and corrective methods is important, along with the ability to interpret technical documents and asset data. Experience handling spare-parts inventories and working with vendors will be valuable. Strong organisation, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills are also required.
A degree, diploma, or technical certification in Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Facilities Management, or a related area is preferred. A trade background in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation fields is an advantage, and training in planning and scheduling methods is desirable.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland.
