M&A Analyst

Role overview

This opportunity is with a well-known global platform that is hiring an Analyst for its Singapore office. The position offers broad, practical exposure to cross-border mergers and acquisitions on both the buy-side and sell-side, along with capital raising work across a range of industries.

What you'll do

• Work alongside senior bankers on live deal processes, including cross-border buy-side and sell-side M&A assignments.
• Support business development and origination by creating pitch and marketing materials and spotting new transaction opportunities.
• Build financial models and perform analysis for different deal types, including M&A, carve-outs, and capital raising.
• Carry out valuation work using comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow, and leveraged buyout methods.
• Help manage due diligence activities and keep different workstreams moving.
• Assist with drafting transaction-related documentation and client-facing marketing materials.
• Join client discussions and contribute to overall execution of transactions.
• Take on a range of responsibilities in a fast-moving M&A advisory setting.

Candidate profile

The employer is seeking a current Analyst 1 or Analyst 2 from a respected M&A team with around 1 to 2 years of pure M&A experience. Ideal candidates will have hands-on exposure to end-to-end transactions, preferably with cross-border deal experience. Strong financial modelling, valuation, and accounting ability are important, along with clear communication and client-facing skills. The role also calls for someone who is structured, detail-focused, and organised, with fluent English.
