Role overview
This position supports logistics and training operations by managing personal protective equipment (PPE), assisting with equipment upkeep, and helping training activities run smoothly. The role also involves coordinating with team leaders, instructors, subcontractors, and managers to ensure training support is delivered effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Help maintain the readiness, tracking, and distribution of training equipment, supplies, and PPE.
- Follow approved cleaning and sanitation methods when servicing training assets.
- Move training materials and protective gear as needed.
- Support the setup and takedown of equipment at training locations.
- Keep records of damaged items and route them correctly for disposal or further handling.
- Work with instructors, subcontractors, and team leads to support successful course delivery.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors, peers, and customers.
- Carry out routine assignments with some direction while adapting to new tasks with general guidance.
- Travel as required for the role, with travel expected to be under 10%.
- Maintain an adequate supply of clean, usable PPE.
- Operate government vehicles that do not require a commercial driver’s license.
- Follow all applicable safety rules and procedures.
Basic qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to lift, turn, and carry equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to complete detail-oriented work while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
- Must be open to a flexible schedule.
- Comfortable working with people at different organizational levels.
- Strong verbal, written, communication, and teamwork abilities are needed.
- A valid state driver’s license is required.
- Must pass pre-employment screening, including a criminal background review, financial institutions/credit bureau check, and drug test.
- Must successfully complete a FEMA background/security check.
- Must complete disclosure requirements under the Freedom of Information Act.
- U.S. citizenship is required because of federal contract regulations.
- Must hold a government-issued ID that meets Real ID Act requirements.
Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this role is $31,850 to $57,575 per year. The final offer may depend on the position’s responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal pay equity, market data, bargaining agreements if applicable, and other legal considerations.
