Description de l'emploi
About the Role
GreenThumb is the UK’s largest lawn care specialist, established in 1986 and now part of the Keyto group. The business has spent almost four decades developing its lawn treatment methods, including no-scorch technology and a new treatment cycle, while also expanding into wider outdoor home services such as mowing. This role is for a Lawn Operative based in Tonbridge, England, United Kingdom.
What the Role Involves
As a Lawn Operative, you will represent the company across your assigned area by visiting customers at their homes each day. Your work will include applying lawn treatments, identifying lawn problems, recognising other opportunities in the garden, and giving practical advice on suitable products and services. The position also involves seasonal machine work such as aeration, scarification, and top-dressing. The role is hands-on, independent, and varied, with plenty of time spent outdoors and in front of customers.
Who They Are Looking For
The company is not expecting candidates to be lawn care specialists from day one. Instead, it is seeking people who are strong communicators and excellent with customers, with the technical side to be taught through training. A natural interest in outdoor work and a customer-first attitude are central to success in this role.
Benefits
- Starting pay of £27,831 per year
- Annual pay review
- Holiday entitlement begins at 22 days plus Bank Holidays and increases to 26 days with service length
- Working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available
- Company van and mobile phone provided
- New uniform supplied each year
- Fully funded training, including pesticide and chemical qualifications
- Continued learning and development opportunities
- Medical cash plan, company sick pay, and enhanced maternity/paternity support
- Christmas shutdown period
- Free lawn treatments and store discounts
- 24-hour Employee Assistance Helpline
- Long Service and Employee of the Month recognition awards
Additional Information
Training will be provided across lawn care knowledge and operational duties. This is an active, field-based role suited to someone who enjoys being outdoors rather than working in an office. The company emphasises customer service, independence, and relationship building as important parts of the job.

- Must hold a full UK manual driving licence
