About the Role
Parsons is seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to support a significant infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The position focuses on accurate field surveying, setting-out, verification work, and preparation of as-built outputs, all while following project drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
What You Will Do
- Examine drawings and related project documentation before starting work.
- Conduct land and field surveys, perform geodetic calculations, and oversee survey activities on site.
- Coordinate with the client and contractors to confirm survey needs for the project.
- Deliver surveying tasks on time while staying within allocated manpower and budget limits.
- Handle setting-out work, level verification, and checking service locations to help protect existing utilities.
- Use, care for, and keep in working order survey tools such as total stations, GPS units, levelling instruments, and data collectors.
- Draft field sketches and keep complete survey records, including field books, calculations, and supporting notes.
- Measure completed work when needed and assist with progress checks and quantity verification.
- Follow site safety practices at all times.
- Support the creation of as-built drawings.
- Comply with HSE procedures and take part in required safety activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure, roads, and utilities projects.
- Practical experience using CAD software, survey software, total stations, data collectors, levelling instruments, and GPS equipment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Preferred: familiarity with construction sequences and standard industry work methods.
- Preferred: experience working in consultancy or construction supervision roles.
