About the Role
This is a Keyholder / Shift Lead position in a cannabis retail store. The employer operates a large retail network across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario, with a focus on delivering strong value, convenient access, and consistently low everyday pricing for cannabis customers.
What the Role Involves
As a dependable and self-driven Keyholder, you will act as a front-line representative of the brand, deliver a positive shopping experience, and help guide customers through product choices. The role suits someone who is comfortable taking charge of a shift, setting the tone for the team, and working in a busy retail environment.
Core Duties
- Make every customer feel welcome and supported from the moment they enter the store.
- Suggest products and share accurate cannabis product knowledge and education.
- Help keep the store running smoothly through merchandising, presentation, and general upkeep.
- Use the point-of-sale system, process transactions, accept payments, and provide receipts.
- Replenish stock, receive incoming deliveries, and carry out basic inventory verification.
- Follow all cannabis retail compliance rules, including checking identification where required.
Who Should Apply
- Applicants with prior experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality.
- People with strong verbal communication and a service-oriented mindset.
- Candidates who already hold a cannabis sales certification such as Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell.
- Those who meet the legal minimum age for the province, which is 18+ or 19+ depending on location.
- Individuals able to stand for long periods and lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Applicants who can successfully complete a Criminal Record Check.
