Role Overview
This position is for a Junior Video Editor at a performance creative agency that creates paid social content for consumer brands. The role centers on shaping short-form ad creative from existing briefs, scripts, and footage captured by creators.
You will partner with in-house creative strategists, account managers, and internal reviewers to transform raw material into polished deliverables that are ready for client review and testing. A strong sense of timing, flow, and overall video effectiveness is important, as the role calls for editing judgment that improves the final output.
The job is fast-moving and requires someone who can manage several briefs at once, work through feedback quickly, and maintain a high standard of execution while adapting to changing priorities.
Core Work
- Edit paid social videos using briefs, script documents, and creator-shot footage.
- Convert raw footage into finished edits suitable for internal review and client approval.
- Use Adobe Premiere Pro as the main editing platform.
- Apply editing fundamentals such as pacing, flow, and color correction/grading.
- Make thoughtful cuts and refinements that strengthen clarity and overall impact.
- Follow creative direction developed by in-house strategists.
- Accurately interpret scripts and project instructions.
- Work on one to two briefs at a time, depending on workload and capacity.
- Prepare work for review by account managers, leadership, and client-facing teams.
- Implement feedback quickly and precisely across multiple revision rounds.
- Manage versioning and exports for different client deliverables.
- Create variations from a single script, including multiple hook options.
- Support workflows where one script can lead to several approved video exports.
- Collaborate smoothly with strategists, account managers, and reviewers.
- Stay adaptable as internal processes change.
- Keep files well organized and maintain a dependable editing workflow.
- Deliver work quickly enough to support monthly retainer clients and ongoing creative testing cycles.
Requirements
- Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong grasp of editing fundamentals, including pacing, flow, and color grading.
- Ability to edit using briefs, scripts, and raw creator content as input.
- Comfort with receiving and applying several rounds of feedback.
- Capacity to work quickly in a fast-paced agency setting.
- High attention to detail and quality control.
- Good written communication skills in English.
- Preferred background in paid social or performance creative editing.
- Prior experience with consumer brands or agency clients is an advantage.
- Ability to make editorial choices that improve video performance.
- Familiarity with high-volume creative workflows involving multiple clients and ongoing testing is helpful.
Work Arrangement
The team is based in London and follows a hybrid schedule with 2 days per week in the office.
