Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Joiner to work locally on homes and neighbourhood properties in Bristol and the surrounding area. This is a permanent role with steady work, a company van, and the chance to help improve customers' homes within your community. Key duties
You will carry out joinery work in domestic settings, including repairs and installations. The role involves working from specifications and agreed standards, keeping customers' belongings and homes protected, and coordinating with supervisors, schedulers, and other team members to meet deadlines. You will also keep accurate records, complete documentation, and help support apprentices while contributing to team KPIs.
Day-to-day work
Your day will usually involve a planned route of repair and maintenance tasks, travel between appointments in a company vehicle, and a mix of solo and team-based work. You will speak directly with residents in their homes and complete jobs efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance.
Work environment
The position covers occupied homes, void properties, and other domestic properties in your local area, including settings where vulnerable customers may be present.
Essential requirements
To be shortlisted, you must meet every essential criterion below.
- NVQ Level 2 in Joinery, or an equivalent qualification
- Previous experience as a Joiner, preferably in social housing or domestic properties
- Full UK driving licence
- Based within the BS postcode area because of the local patch covered
Additional experience preferred
- Experience across more than one trade
- Comfort using IT systems, or a willingness to learn digital tools
Hiring process and important notes
