Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site Joiner position in New South Wales, Australia. The role involves reading plans and specifications, then manufacturing and assembling timber components such as doors, windows, frames, cabinetry, and bespoke fittings. You will handle measuring, marking, cutting, shaping, assembly, and final finishing to a high standard, while working safely with hand tools and workshop machinery.

Key Duties

Day-to-day work includes preparing timber accurately, assembling joinery items, completing finish work, and making sure each product meets the company’s workmanship standards. You will also keep the workshop tidy and organised, carry out basic equipment checks, communicate progress or issues to supervisors, and work closely with other team members to keep projects moving smoothly.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in joinery, including the ability to read drawings, measure accurately, cut and assemble timber parts, and install joinery components. Experience using hand tools and fixed workshop machinery is essential, along with a strong commitment to safe work practices. CNC exposure is a plus, especially with Biesse Pod and rail systems and basic programming. Prior experience producing solid timber doors, windows, furniture, and staircases is highly relevant. A trade qualification or completed apprenticeship in joinery is also expected.
