Role overview

This full-time janitor position is based at Tesla in Lathrop, California. The shift runs from Thursday through Monday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, and additional schedule details will be shared during the interview.

What the role involves

The janitor will be responsible for keeping the building clean, orderly, and sanitary. The job includes heavy cleaning tasks such as floor care, rug shampooing, wall and glass cleaning, and trash removal.

• Remove and dispose of waste using approved procedures and infection-control guidelines.
• Dust and mop floors according to established cleaning methods.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for thorough cleaning and return items to their proper place.
• Clean assigned areas using the provided materials and equipment, and disinfect surfaces as required.
• Follow the eight-step cleaning process.
• Clean walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
• Look for areas that need attention and take initiative to complete cleaning tasks.
• Carry out assignments given by the supervisor.
• Work in line with all applicable federal, state, and county rules.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpets.
• Work cooperatively with the team and maintain professional behavior with customers, colleagues, and others.
• Handle other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Prior janitorial experience is required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding cleaning duties.
• Willingness to work the stated overnight schedule.
• Compliance with all applicable workplace, safety, and legal requirements.

Compensation and benefits

The pay rate for this role is $18.00 per hour.
