Job Overview
Cercle des Amis de la Mémoire Partagée (CAMP) is looking for an experienced and service-oriented IT Support Specialist in Auckland, New Zealand. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on keeping everyday technology running smoothly for staff and users. The person in this position will troubleshoot issues, support devices and applications, and help maintain reliable IT operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for technical assistance, handling both initial and second-line support requests.
- Identify, investigate, and fix problems related to hardware, software, networking, and systems.
- Set up, install, and maintain computers, accessories, and core business software.
- Help manage user access, including account setup, password resets, and permission changes.
- Keep an eye on IT systems, infrastructure, and equipment to ensure they remain functional and available.
- Record support tickets, resolutions, and technical processes for future reference.
- Pass on more complex issues to the appropriate team or specialist when required.
- Assist with software patches, system enhancements, and broader technology initiatives.
- Follow internal security requirements and IT operating standards.
- Provide responsive, helpful, and professional support to end users.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related area is preferred.
- Prior exposure to IT help desk, technical support, or similar roles would be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, networking basics, and troubleshooting methods.
- Practical familiarity with installing hardware and configuring software.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset.
- Comfort working independently while managing several priorities at once.
- Must be legally authorized to work in New Zealand.
