About the opportunity
Fortescue is inviting expressions of interest from Infrastructure Carpenters to join its talent community for future roles across its operations. This is an opportunity to be considered for upcoming positions with a global green technology, energy and metals company that has been operating in Western Australia since 2003 and is focused on innovation, infrastructure, mining assets and green energy.

Work location
Roles are FIFO from Perth, Busselton, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing, or Kununurra to Pilbara mine sites in Western Australia.
Rosters
Depending on the site and department, roster options include 7 days on / 7 days off, 14 days on / 14 days off, or 8 days on / 6 days off.
What you will do
- Deliver safe, efficient, and prompt maintenance for buildings and facilities across camps and mine sites.
- Create notifications and maintenance work orders as required.
- Inspect infrastructure and identify maintenance needs.
- Support continuous improvement of site facilities.
Experience and qualifications
- Hold an Australian-recognised carpentry trade qualification.
- Bring relevant hands-on experience working as a carpenter tradesperson.
- Be able and willing to assess maintenance work and small projects, including material take-offs.
- Have the qualification required to perform working-at-heights tasks for roof maintenance.
- Experience using SAP or similar computer-based maintenance systems is preferred.
- Hold a current driver’s licence.
- Communicate clearly and work well with others.
- Be capable of working independently as well as in a team.
