Role overview
The Human Resources Lead supports store performance by improving sales, strengthening the customer experience, and creating an excellent experience for store associates. This position is centered on hiring, onboarding, training, retention, scheduling, and daily people support. It is an hourly role with eligibility for a monthly bonus.
Key responsibilities
- Show strong ownership, accountability, and initiative while working toward store goals and important performance measures.
- Promptly fill vacancies by posting openings, sourcing and recruiting candidates, screening applications, arranging interviews, starting background checks, and completing the hiring process. Maintain a positive candidate journey through regular communication and support at every stage.
- Deliver an engaging onboarding process and ensure new hires complete structured onboarding so they are prepared for service, selling, and operational standards. Confirm that associates understand their role, company policies, benefits, scheduling, communication tools, and learning platforms.
- Drive retention and engagement efforts, support continuous learning, and help create a strong store culture by building team relationships, recognizing achievements, and valuing associate contributions.
- Keep associate records accurate and current across company systems and personnel files for compliance, staffing, benefits, scheduling, payroll, and reporting needs.
- Build effective weekly schedules that reflect staffing needs, traffic patterns, and business priorities, while reviewing availability and time-off requests with store leaders. Audit timecards for accuracy and monitor attendance each day.
- Join weekly leadership planning meetings to prepare, schedule, and coordinate hiring, training, engagement, and related workload items. Use talent data and reports to recognize wins and identify improvement areas so leaders can act with insight.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to store associates, respond quickly to concerns, collect needed details, support resolution, and protect confidentiality.
- Handle daily cash office work, including deposit processing, change orders, cash fund maintenance, and audits.
- Support shortage control and risk reduction in assigned areas while following asset protection, safety, and security requirements.

- Retail leadership or HR management experience of at least 1 year.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to move through all store areas, remain accessible to customers, and bend, reach, lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs.
