Role Overview

The Host role is centered on welcoming guests with warmth and ensuring they have a smooth arrival and departure experience. You will support seating, help manage the flow of guests, and contribute to a friendly, attentive atmosphere throughout the restaurant.

Key Duties

• Greet and open the door for guests as they come in and leave.
• Support guests who need special assistance, including boosters, high chairs, and accessibility needs.
• Handle the wait list when seating capacity is reached.
• Help servers with guest-related support when needed.
• Keep the host area tidy, organized, and clean according to assigned tasks.
• Welcome guests back so they leave with a positive impression.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in caring for others and a willingness to learn and improve.
• Positive, friendly attitude.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication ability.
• Must be able to stay mobile throughout the shift.
• Ability to carry and transport items such as high chairs weighing up to 15 pounds, up to 15 times per shift.
• Must be able to wipe tables, table legs, and booth seats, and pick up debris from the floor across all restaurant areas.

Physical Requirements

This position involves regular movement throughout the restaurant, active communication with guests, handling items weighing up to five pounds, occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds, and bending or stooping. Good vision is needed to assess cleanliness and use a touchscreen. Reasonable accommodations may be available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
