Role overview
Join the R&D group as a front-end web developer focused on building and supporting Hexoskin’s web-based applications for both mobile and desktop use. The role involves shipping new functionality, helping create applications that are robust and easy to deploy, and working closely with the web development, biomedical, and application teams. The company is a results-driven environment centered on delivering innovative products to a global user base.
What you'll do
- Create new features for web applications and keep existing Hexoskin products running smoothly.
- Prepare design documentation along with clear plans, effort estimates, and implementation details.
- Look into bugs, inconsistencies, errors, and other technical issues to find root causes.
- Take part in peer code reviews.
- Test, refine, and update software so it continues to meet client needs.
- Work effectively with the development environment, build tools, version control systems, and issue tracking tools across software projects.
What we are looking for
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience.
- Practical experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, CSS/Sass, and HTML.
- Experience working with at least one modern front-end framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is considered an advantage.
- Exposure to API security is also an asset.
- Strong background in software version control practices, including GitHub and Bitbucket.
- Solid grasp of object-oriented programming.
- Understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Ability to produce code that is clean, concise, and maintainable.
- Good knowledge of software testing approaches, principles, and tools.
- Adaptable and comfortable adjusting to changing needs.

The office is at 5800 St-Denis, directly across from Rosemont metro, about a 5-minute walk from the Plateau and Mile-End, and close to the Des Carrières bike path.
