Description de l'emploi
About the role
The Rights Systems team is responsible for building and running Spotify Rights Center (SRC), Spotify’s platform for rights management. It helps Spotify and its partners identify, manage, and enforce music licensing rights across creator- and artist-made content.
Similar in purpose to YouTube’s Content ID, SRC is built for Spotify’s environment and is especially important as the company expands into formats such as video and other new content types. In the last year, the team took SRC from an early idea to a live production system that is now used by actual rights holders.
The platform supports automated content scanning, policy administration, enforcement workflows, dispute handling, and analytics. What began as one squad has expanded to three squads, with around 29 engineers, designers, and product specialists, and it remains a major investment area for Spotify over the coming years.
What you will do
- Develop and improve the Spotify Rights Center web app used by labels, publishers, and other rights owners to control how their content appears on Spotify
- Work side by side with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create smooth, high-quality user experiences
- Build sophisticated workflows for large-scale data, territory-based permissions, and multi-step rights and dispute processes
- Connect frontend applications to multiple backend services so data moves reliably at scale
- Deliver fast, accessible, and well-tested frontend code using current engineering practices
- Collaborate with backend engineers on API design and ongoing API improvements
- Take part in product discovery and early ideation with engineers, researchers, and product specialists
- Help raise engineering standards by strengthening frontend architecture and quality practices
- Contribute to a team culture that values collaboration, learning, experimentation, and professional growth
Who you are
- You have worked on modern web applications with TypeScript and React, or an equivalent frontend framework
- You are confident handling complex state and data movement within applications
- You have connected frontend systems to APIs such as REST, gRPC, or GraphQL
- You know how to build responsive interfaces that handle loading, pagination, streaming updates, and errors gracefully
- You care about building user experiences that are intuitive and accessible
- You have experience with enterprise or B2B products involving permissions, large datasets, and multi-step workflows
- You produce strong code quality and verify it through unit, integration, or end-to-end testing
- You can own solutions from requirements through release and improve them using user feedback
- You enjoy learning unfamiliar domains and working with teammates to solve meaningful problems
Location and working style
This position is based in London or Stockholm. The team offers flexibility in how you work, including some in-person meetings along with the option to work from home for part of the time.
