Description de l'emploi
Role overview
NTR plc is hiring a Finance Administrator to join its collaborative finance function in Dublin. This is a practical, hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their experience across a wide range of accounting and finance activities, while taking responsibility for day-to-day processes in a detail-focused role.
NTR is based in Dublin, Ireland, and operates as an investor in and asset manager of renewable energy projects, with a core focus on Ireland, the UK and Western Europe. Established in 1978, the business originally developed and operated Ireland’s first toll road before expanding into renewable energy investment and asset management. Over the years, the group has delivered roughly 3GW of wind, solar and energy storage projects across around 50 locations in Europe for 14 institutional investors. NTR plc is an unlisted Irish public company.
Key responsibilities
Unlike a finance role limited to accounts payable, this position offers exposure across the wider finance operation, including payment and reconciliation work, support with receivables, and month-end activities.
- Support the procure-to-pay process and handle accounts payable tasks.
- Prepare and process payments for head office and SPV entities.
- Assist with accounts receivable administration.
- Carry out bank reconciliation work.
- Manage employee expense processing.
- Support finance controls and month-end close activities.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will already have some background in finance administration or a related accounting support position, and will be comfortable working with numbers, systems and deadlines. A proactive mindset and willingness to learn are important, as the team will provide full training on internal tools where needed.
- Previous experience in finance administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a similar finance support role.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Completion of, or current study towards, an Accounting Technician qualification such as ATI or IATI is an advantage.
- Practical exposure to invoice entry, payment preparation, bank reconciliations, or finance systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel ability and confidence handling numerical work.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software, or online banking systems, would be beneficial, though training will be provided.
- Careful, organised, and highly accurate approach to work.
- Self-driven attitude and genuine interest in building a finance career.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, especially during payment cycles and month-end.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach with colleagues and suppliers.
- Interest in improving processes and reducing manual effort.
