Role overview
TECEZE is hiring a Field Support Specialist / IT Support Engineer for a 12-month engagement in Mayfield West, Greater Sydney Area. The role focuses on onsite field support, end-user hardware assistance, and hands-on infrastructure support for desktop, network, server, and data center tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop systems, software, and peripherals according to internal standards.
- Coordinate with OEM and vendor partners for spare replacements, hardware repairs, and issue resolution.
- Track and manage IT inventory, support procurement activities, and keep asset records updated.
- Prepare laptops and desktops through imaging and deployment.
- Handle printer setup, network printing, and shared printer support.
- Support conference room technology, including room setup, audio-visual systems, and meeting support.
- Provide IMAC services across IT assets, including install, move, add, and change tasks.
- Support mobile phones and non-PC equipment such as scanners and printers.
- Deliver VIP support with a responsive, high-touch approach.
- Install and troubleshoot coverage/compliance software and Office 365-related issues.
- Work on Mac devices as needed.
- Follow SLA commitments strictly and document incidents, root causes, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
- Assist with recurring meetings, events, and after-hours support when required.
- Perform L1-level troubleshooting for LAN connectivity and basic network issues.
- Provide hands-and-feet support to backend teams for network, server, and application-related incidents.
- Support data center operations for physical servers, network equipment, storage, and backup devices.
- Carry out rack labeling, device mounting and movement, console access support, cable and SFP removal/replacement, and rack/stack activities.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and peripheral/device maintenance.
- Working knowledge of DHCP and DNS.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with users, vendors, and technical teams.
- Familiarity with Office 365 support and Mac device support.
- Experience in network printer installation and support.
- Ability to work within SLA timelines and handle on-call or after-hours support when needed.
- Practical experience supporting infrastructure tasks in server rooms or data center environments.
- This opportunity is not intended for profiles that are mainly focused on service desk or remote assistance work.
Additional information
Duration of engagement: 12 months. Location: Mayfield West. The assignment involves physical support tasks, coordination with vendors, and collaboration with backend technical teams for infrastructure and end-user support.
