Field Service Technician

Role overview

Aristocrat is hiring multiple proactive and enthusiastic Field Service Technicians to support customers across Far North Coast NSW, with possible locations in Tweed Heads, Ballina, Coffs Harbour, or Nambucca. In this position, you will represent the company on customer sites, delivering practical technical support, keeping equipment running smoothly, and helping venues maintain reliable operations.

As part of a global gaming and entertainment business, you will work with electronic gaming machines and related venue systems, contributing to service quality, customer satisfaction, and smooth day-to-day operations. This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, customer interaction, and working across different locations.

Key responsibilities

You will support customer sites through scheduled maintenance, repairs, installations, and operational troubleshooting. The role also involves accurate service reporting, inventory tracking, and compliance with workplace health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Customer and technical support

• Carry out planned service tasks, preventive maintenance, break-fix repairs, and on-site diagnostics.
• Install, remove, upgrade, modify, and change games or cabinets at customer venues, including work completed when venues are closed to the public.
• Identify and fix faults, including more complex technical issues, and complete repairs as needed.
• Answer service requests quickly and professionally so customer expectations and SLA commitments are met.
• Work closely with venue teams while maintaining strong service quality and positive customer experiences.

Reporting and documentation

• Log all service activity accurately using Aristocrat’s field service management systems.
• Keep records current and precise, including tasks, stock usage, and inventory movements.
• Track all used parts and ensure returns are completed in line with SLA and compliance requirements.
• Support internal reporting needs and provide information to the department when requested.

WHS, safety, and compliance

• Follow company and venue WHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Ensure accident, incident, and near-miss processes are followed, and assist with investigations when required.
• Complete all work in line with company, legislative, and regulatory compliance obligations.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate is technically minded, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently across multiple sites. Prior experience in field service, gaming equipment, or electronic/mechanical repair will be highly relevant.

• Background in technical field service, gaming, or electronics/mechanical repair.
• Exposure to diagnostic tools, maintenance planning, or service coordination.
• Experience working in WHS-driven, compliance-heavy, or regulated environments.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Ability to obtain and keep the relevant state or territory gaming licence, with support provided by Aristocrat.
• Strong troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Self-driven approach with the ability to work alone across several customer locations.
• Strong organisation and time management for handling schedules, tasks, and service calls.
• Comfort using mobile devices and field service software for updates and reporting.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when needed.

Physical requirements

This job has physical demands that are essential to successful performance. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where possible.

• Ability to lift or move up to 25 kg safely using proper handling techniques and tools.
• Comfortable using a safety step and working in changing physical environments.
• Able to stand for most of the day and remain on your feet for long periods.
• Capable of bending, squatting, and working at floor level when required.
• Comfortable reaching overhead and working at shoulder height.
