Role overview
Vintage Cash Cow’s facilities function is a small, practical team that keeps the workplace running cleanly and efficiently. The group is responsible for maintaining tidy, safe and well-kept spaces, and for making sure shared areas remain pleasant and functional for everyone.
In this role, you will work closely with colleagues from across the business to support day-to-day operations. Your focus will be on cleaning, kitchen support and general facilities tasks, with an emphasis on reliability, teamwork and close attention to detail.
As a Facilities Operative, your main contribution will be to keep work areas and communal spaces clean, organised and presentable while also helping with food preparation and kitchen duties. This role helps maintain a hygienic, safe and productive environment for the team.
During the first few weeks, you will learn the cleaning schedules, kitchen routines and health and safety expectations by working with experienced teammates. As you become more settled, you will also be expected to spot opportunities to improve day-to-day processes and help raise standards across the facilities area.
Responsibilities
- Keep all facilities areas clean and hygienic to a consistently high standard.
- Assist the kitchen team with meal prep and everyday kitchen routines.
- Help maintain a safe, orderly workspace where staff can work effectively.
- Carry out routine cleaning in work areas, shared spaces, toilets and kitchen areas.
- Support basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils and surfaces are cleaned and sanitised in line with health and safety expectations.
- Use dishwashers or wash dishes, pans and other kitchen items by hand when needed.
- Accept, inspect and store incoming deliveries safely, while keeping stock organised and rotated.
- Escalate any safety concerns, hazards or repair needs to the Facilities Manager without delay.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning, kitchen support or facilities work.
- Working knowledge of basic food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to follow directions, manage priorities and stay effective in a fast-paced setting.
- A dependable approach, strong eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- A friendly, supportive manner and the ability to collaborate well with others.
Package
The annual compensation for this position is £26,250.

Training and progression
