Electrical Technician

Role overview

The Electrical Technician will handle electrical installation, wiring, alteration, and commissioning work for control panels and electrical systems at project locations. This is a site-based position across Saudi Arabia, and it can also involve overseas deployments when assigned by the company.

Key duties

• Carry out installation, termination, and modification tasks for electrical control panels and connected field equipment.
• Perform wiring, rewiring, and internal changes within control and automation panels.
• Understand and work from electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and layout plans.
• Complete panel retrofits, upgrades, and troubleshooting work on site.
• Follow safety rules, company procedures, and applicable local regulations in every task.
• Assist engineers with commissioning and testing activities.
• Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and client representatives during project execution.
• Keep accurate records of site work, changes, and modifications.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant should have at least a 1-year Electrical Diploma or a similar technical qualification or practical experience. A minimum of 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in electrical installation and panel modification is required. Experience with control panels, MCCs, and automation panels is essential, along with a strong grasp of wiring, termination, and panel internal arrangements. The role also calls for the ability to work independently in demanding site conditions and a willingness to travel to different project locations within and outside Saudi Arabia. A sound understanding of electrical safety is expected.
