Description de l'emploi
About the Company
Aotea Group is an electrical services business known for delivering dependable, high-standard outcomes across commercial builds, data and communications, and interior projects. The projects team is expanding, and the business is seeking a motivated Site Manager who can take the lead on site, lift performance, and own successful project delivery.
This is a senior hands-on leadership role, not a routine site position. It offers the opportunity to manage challenging projects while being supported by a company that values quality and disciplined execution.
Role Overview
In this Auckland-based role, you will be responsible for site delivery on commercial projects, with accountability for programme, personnel, and overall site performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Supervisors, Foremen, and wider site crews
- Run day-to-day site activities and oversee several work fronts at once
- Organise and sequence tasks so programme milestones are achieved
- Coordinate labour resources, materials, and subcontractors
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients and main contractors
- Improve productivity, ownership, and on-site performance
- Manage quality checks, commissioning activities, and final project handover
- Ensure Health and Safety standards remain strong across all work areas
What the Company Is Looking For
The ideal candidate will be confident leading teams, comfortable taking responsibility for site results, and able to communicate clearly with both clients and internal staff.
Desired Background
- Current NZ Electrical Registration and an active Practising Licence
- Substantial experience leading site teams on commercial electrical projects
- Proven capability in managing people, programme delivery, and site execution
- Sound commercial judgement and strong decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination ability
- A practical, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong commitment to workmanship, safety, and professional standards
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Join a forward-thinking company with a straight-up, practical approach
- Be part of a healthy pipeline of commercial work
- Potential to progress into senior leadership or Project Management
- Work within a supportive culture that rewards performance and accountability
- Benefit from systems and structure designed to help you succeed
- Receive a competitive remuneration package
- Company vehicle, phone, and tablet included
- Room to grow as the business continues to expand
Eligibility
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and be able to provide evidence of this.
