- Engage visitors in a warm, professional way and help them better understand the museum’s exhibitions and galleries.
- Consistently provide high-quality service to both school audiences and general visitors.
- Represent the museum professionally in both communication and presentation.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of standard operating procedures and all relevant exhibitions.
- Coordinate with the Assistant Manager or Manager on weekly and daily roster planning, including weekends and public holidays.
- Assist with administrative work such as website updates, enquiry handling, and group booking support.
- Track and manage inventory required for education activities and programme delivery.
- Support any other museum duties needed as the business evolves.
Eligibility and qualifications
Applicants should preferably hold a diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, Arts Management, Art Education, or a related area. The role calls for at least 1 year of experience in education or public engagement within the arts, culture, or science sectors.
Ideal candidates are proactive, self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable multitasking in a busy environment. A genuine interest in learning and communicating arts and science topics is important, along with an enjoyment of working with children and people across all age groups. Candidates should also have awareness of current museum education practices or broader education trends.
Strong written and spoken English is required, along with confidence in public speaking and prior experience presenting information to individuals or groups in an educational or public setting.
