EDI Consultant

Job summary

We are looking for a seasoned EDI professional with practical, hands-on expertise in CLEO integration products to design, build, deploy, and support EDI connections for multiple trading partners. This role calls for solid knowledge of EDI formats, mapping, communication methods, and the CLEO platform ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Create, configure, and roll out EDI solutions using Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC), Cleo Harmony, or Cleo Clarify.
• Build and support EDI maps for ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, flat files, and JSON-based transactions.
• Establish and administer communication methods including AS2, SFTP, FTPS, VAN, and API-based integrations.
• Partner with business stakeholders to capture EDI needs and bring new trading partners live.
• Track EDI traffic, identify failures, and resolve incidents within required timelines.
• Integrate with back-end enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, and similar ERP platforms.
• Develop workflows, business logic, and automation scripts inside the CLEO environment.
• Assist with deployment, validation, and movement of maps across different environments.
• Keep technical documentation, mapping details, and partner communication records up to date.
• Follow EDI standards, information security practices, and company policies.

Technical requirements

• 3 to 8 years of practical experience in EDI development with CLEO tools such as CIC, Clarify, Harmony, and VLTrader.
• Strong working knowledge of ANSI X12, including common transactions like 850, 810, 856, and 997, along with EDIFACT and XML/JSON formats.
• Ability to create, debug, and maintain EDI maps.
• Solid understanding of communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S, OFTP, and APIs.
• Experience building workflows, routes, and business processes within CLEO.
• Experience integrating with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, and similar applications.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Shell, or JavaScript is an advantage.
• Comfort with debugging, logs, and monitoring tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is beneficial.

Additional responsibilities

• Coordinate directly with clients and trading partners during EDI onboarding.
• Keep EDI workflows running smoothly with minimal disruption.
• Perform root-cause analysis for integration issues and record the resolution steps.
• Take part in code reviews, testing, and deployment tasks.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support when needed, if applicable.

Preferred experience

• Hands-on exposure to Cleo CIC Cockpit and Cleo dashboards.
• Experience working with APIs and modern integration approaches.
• Understanding of EDI processes in supply chain, logistics, retail, or manufacturing environments.
