Giga is looking for a practical, strategic Director of Operations to scale U.S. manufacturing across multiple locations. This position carries accountability for operational results, including site leadership, production flow, logistics, engineering coordination, profitability, and overall performance.

The role includes launching a new advanced facility from the ground up, putting the right team, processes, and systems in place to support operational excellence. You will lead Site Managers, Engineers, and support teams while driving consistency across sites.

Because the business works closely with teams around the world, you will collaborate with production partners in China and engineering teams in India to keep quality aligned, synchronize supply chain activity, and ensure strong execution.

What you will do

You will own the performance and profitability of U.S. manufacturing operations linked to Long Beach. The job includes shaping operational and engineering strategy, leading a multi-site leadership team, and ensuring targets for cost, quality, delivery, and growth are met.

You will also oversee manufacturing and engineering activity for switchboard production at the Long Beach facility, making sure delivery, quality, and engineering improvements are executed efficiently. Close coordination with internal and international teams will be required to align production with broader best practices.

Another major part of the role is standardizing processes across sites, introducing performance measurement systems, and building reporting structures that make productivity, quality, and profitability visible and actionable.

You will act as a key U.S. manufacturing contact for international operations and engineering teams, and you will travel between facilities as needed.

You will be responsible for maintaining engineering standards, test protocols, and any relevant industry certifications. The role also requires building a strong quality management system that covers incoming parts inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing.

Financial ownership
