Description de l'emploi

Role overview

EARS is looking for a specialist to help shape, promote, and commercialise its advertising offering. The company operates East Africa’s first digital audio super-app, bringing together radio station livestreams, podcasts, and audiobooks. In this position, you will support the design of the ad technology setup, introduce programmatic advertising processes, create campaign structures, educate the market about digital audio, and develop business relationships with brands and agencies. You will also work on integrations with partner radio stations and contribute ideas to the product direction for audience growth and revenue generation.

Core responsibilities

This role involves building a practical advertising ecosystem for digital audio and supporting monetisation efforts across the platform.

  • Design and manage the ad tech infrastructure needed to support digital audio advertising.
  • Set up programmatic advertising systems and workflows.
  • Create campaign frameworks that can be used for brand and agency partnerships.
  • Help educate the market on the value and potential of digital audio advertising.
  • Develop and maintain commercial relationships with brands and advertising agencies.
  • Coordinate integrations with partner radio stations.
  • Contribute to product planning aimed at audience growth and monetisation.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should have formal training in Marketing, Digital Media, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a closely related discipline. Prior exposure to digital audio advertising, programmatic media, or ad technology is expected. The ideal candidate will understand ad serving platforms, VAST/DAAST standards, dynamic ad insertion (DAI), DSP and SSP ecosystems, real-time bidding (RTB), and programmatic audio buying.

You should also be able to build audience targeting models using listener data, behaviour, and context, and have experience with measurement, attribution, and performance analysis for campaigns. Strong commercial judgement is important, along with the ability to pitch advertising products confidently to clients and agencies.

Candidates must be residents of Uganda or Kenya and should have a strong working knowledge of the media environment across Uganda and East Africa.

Additional welcome profiles

EARS is also open to applicants with transferable experience from related fields, especially if they can bring useful digital, media, or analytics expertise to the role.

  • Programmatic display or video advertising, or digital media buying and planning.
  • Product management for media, streaming, or digital platforms.
  • Mobile or web app development with a media or audio technology focus.
  • Radio broadcasting or media operations with a desire to build digital capability.
  • Data analytics, audience research, or media measurement experience in Uganda or the wider region.

Application details

The application deadline is 30 June 2026. Candidates must send their applications as a PDF to info@ears.ug. For questions, contact +256200907008. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
