Dietary Aide

About the Role

TLC Nursing Center in Oneonta, Alabama is seeking a Dietary Aide to join its kitchen and dietary team. The facility is focused on creating a welcoming, home-like setting for residents and values staff who want to make a positive daily impact through quality meal service and support.

In this position, you will work closely with dietitians, dietary managers, and other kitchen team members to help ensure residents receive meals that align with their nutritional needs. Prior kitchen experience is helpful, but it is not required, as training will be provided on the job in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare meals, snacks, and drinks by following set procedures and kitchen guidelines.
• Serve food while consistently following hygiene and food safety practices.
• Assist residents according to their diet plans, preferences, and weight-related goals.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and support sanitation and maintenance routines.
• Deliver meals to residents’ rooms carefully and accurately.
• Help maintain stock levels and organize inventory so supplies are available when needed.
• Track food inventory, monitor supplies, and support ordering when replenishment is required.
• Assist with special dining occasions and facility events such as holiday meals or themed gatherings.
• Take part in nutrition-related learning opportunities to strengthen knowledge and skills.

Training and Work Environment

This role includes hands-on training, making it suitable for candidates who are dependable and willing to learn. The employer is currently seeking people for multiple shifts and has both part-time and full-time opportunities available.
