Day Porter

Overview

Allegiance Industries, Inc. is hiring a Day Porter for a manufacturing facility in Painesville, Ohio. This is an onsite, full-time role with a weekday schedule that can vary between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The position includes on-the-job training and is suited to someone who is ready to meet high service standards and contribute to a dependable facility support team.

Role summary

The day porter will help keep the building clean, safe, and presentable throughout the day. The work involves general janitorial support, restroom servicing, basic floor care, trash removal, and assisting with other facility upkeep tasks as needed.

Key duties

• Keep the facility clean by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and caring for other surfaces.
• Collect waste and empty trash containers.
• Restock, clean, and maintain restrooms.
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to instructions and product specifications.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, or other objects when required.
• Notice and report repair needs or safety concerns.
• Perform floor-care tasks such as steam cleaning carpets, waxing, and buffing when applicable.
• Handle additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants should be physically capable of performing hands-on cleaning work and have the ability to stay alert to safety issues. The role also calls for dependable transportation, the discipline to follow schedules, the ability to take direction well, and a professional manner on the job.
