Overview

This is a remote hourly contract opportunity for a Data Scientist role. The position offers compensation between $30 and $100 per hour, with a weekly commitment ranging from 10 to 40 hours.

Responsibilities

Gather, prepare, and cleanse a variety of datasets so they are accurate and ready for analysis.
Build, test, and apply statistical as well as predictive models to uncover practical business insights.
Perform exploratory analysis to spot trends, patterns, and potential opportunities.
Design visual reports and dashboards for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Work with teams across functions to deliver data science projects from start to finish.
Refine analytical approaches and automate data-related workflows to improve efficiency.
Present findings and recommendations in clear written and spoken form.

Requirements

Solid command of statistics, mathematics, and analytical methods.
Proven ability to manage, clean, and interpret large, complex datasets.
Working knowledge of Python, R, SQL, or comparable data tools for manipulation and modeling.
Hands-on experience developing and validating predictive and statistical models.
Ability to create visualizations using tools like Power BI, Matplotlib, or similar software.
Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with careful attention to detail.
