Role overview

This position supports casino cleanliness and facility upkeep by working as part of a crew that cleans, repairs, and maintains carpets and floors across all public and team member areas. Coverage includes the main floor, stairways, administrative offices, dining spaces, Table Games pits, Poker area, Bingo, restrooms, team member lounge, and locker rooms. The role can also include wider maintenance tasks such as cleaning outdoor areas, repairing furniture upholstery, maintaining pool areas, cleaning ceiling tiles and air ducts, and operating a box baler.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare carpets, flooring, cleaning machines, chemicals, and other equipment before starting work.
  • Use carpet extractor equipment to remove dirt, marks, gum, and other buildup from assigned carpeted areas.
  • Wash, wax, and polish tile and vinyl floors to clear away grime, scuffs, and debris.
  • Separate waste and identify recyclable material.
  • Use, service, diagnose issues with, and carry out minor repairs on carpet extractors, sweepers, vacuums, and related equipment.
  • Clean ceiling tiles and heating ducts as assigned.
  • Review blueprints to help prepare venues for events.
  • Set up and take down spaces for Bingo, concerts, and promotional events.
  • Safely operate high-pressure washers, box balers, leaf blowers, scissor lifts, and similar equipment in line with department standards.
  • Remove furniture, place barriers and warning cones, and otherwise secure the work area so team members and guests are protected during cleaning.
  • Coordinate area closures with Casino Operations.
  • Report unsafe, unsanitary, or defective conditions to a supervisor.
  • Support a collaborative workplace that reflects the organization’s values, behaviors, and culture.
  • Take on other tasks as needed.

Qualifications and requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a facilities department in an environment similar to a medium or large enterprise.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is necessary.
  • Comfort using computers, including Microsoft applications, email, and internet tools.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours in a 24/7 setting, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must apply for, obtain, and keep a Gaming License through the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
