Role Overview

The Cost Manager will oversee cost accounting, variance analysis, and product estimation. The role focuses on improving shop-floor cost efficiency, tracking raw material price fluctuations, and delivering accurate profitability insights to the leadership team across casting operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and revise standard costing frameworks, including machine hourly rates and labor rates for melting, molding, fettling, and machining departments.
  • Review and validate complex bills of materials within the ERP system.
  • Perform monthly variance reviews with attention to yield, scrap, internal and customer rejections, and pattern amortization, and translate operational gaps into financial impact.
  • Track power and fuel usage during melting operations and analyze consumption efficiency by ton to reduce energy cost.
  • Work with Sales and New Product Development teams to prepare cost estimates for new RFQs and factor in changing commodity prices such as pig iron, scrap, and ferroalloys to safeguard margins.
  • Manage physical checks of raw materials, metal scrap, and work-in-progress inventory.
  • Lead statutory cost audits at the plant level and ensure internal control compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • ACMA qualification with 7 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • An engineering degree along with ACMA will be preferred.
