About the role
SoftConstruct is looking for a Cost Control Specialist to join its Yerevan team. This position focuses on checking task-related financial data, confirming that amounts match approved records, and flagging any mismatches for quick resolution.
Responsibilities
- Regularly review the tasks assigned in Jira and Eve to keep track of financial details.
- Confirm that every monetary figure mentioned in a task aligns with the approved cost shown in the relevant authorization or finance record.
- Escalate any variance or inconsistency to the reporting manager or the relevant team without delay.
- Perform additional duties requested by the direct supervisor, provided they fit the role and comply with labor regulations.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or another closely related discipline.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or project management.
- Strong command of English.
- Russian language knowledge will be considered an advantage.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- High precision and a careful approach when checking financial and task-related information.
- Hands-on experience with project or task tracking tools such as Jira, Eve, or similar systems.
- Foundational knowledge of cost approval workflows and supporting financial documents.
- The ability to spot discrepancies and coordinate follow-up with the right stakeholders.
- Clear and proactive communication to resolve issues quickly.
- Good organizational ability to handle and monitor several tasks at once.
