Role overview
Eram Talent, part of ERAM Group, is hiring a Control Room Operator for its oil and energy operations in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. The company is an independent talent acquisition consultancy with an international footprint, serving clients across sectors such as oil and gas, petroleum, infrastructure, energy, water, transportation, science and technology, and healthcare.
In this role, you will help keep plant control systems running smoothly by supervising, operating, and supporting the maintenance of control panels, consoles, and related equipment used to manage production activities. You will work with technicians, engineers, and other colleagues to improve operational performance while following safety rules and sector regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee control systems, including panels, consoles, and computer-based platforms, to monitor and direct production activities.
- Fine-tune operational settings such as temperature, pressure, and flow according to process needs.
- Carry out regular inspections to confirm that equipment and systems are functioning correctly.
- Detect, investigate, and address operational issues or unusual conditions as they occur.
- Work with technicians, engineers, and other team members to carry out adjustments or corrective actions.
- Keep accurate logs, reports, and records of plant activity, incidents, and equipment performance.
- Follow safety standards, operating procedures, and industry requirements to maintain a secure workplace.
Requirements
- Hands-on background as a Control Room Operator in utility-related industries.
- Good understanding of control systems, including consoles, panels, and computer-driven equipment.
- Exposure to process plant operations involving pumps, compressors, turbines, and similar machinery.
- Strong diagnostic thinking and troubleshooting ability.
- Capability to read and understand technical drawings, diagrams, and procedure documents.
- Comfortable using computers, entering data, and working with software used in control operations.
- High attention to detail and the ability to stay effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
