About the Role
Opal Autism Centers is seeking a Compliance and Training Manager to help build strong systems that safeguard service quality. This full-time exempt position reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and focuses on compliance oversight, staff training, and process improvement across a growing healthcare organization.
The role is based in North Carolina, USA, and is remote with the important requirement that the selected candidate must live in North Carolina. Occasional travel to Opal center locations will be needed.
The compensation for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 annually.
What You Will Be Doing
You will support organizational quality by monitoring compliance activities, helping improve training programs, and maintaining policies and procedures. The position requires someone who can balance planning and execution while contributing to clinical excellence and operational consistency.
Compliance, Quality, and Audit Support
- Monitor compliance activities on an ongoing basis and assist with daily oversight.
- Review incidents and support audit-related work across the organization.
- Help maintain a strong quality assurance and regulatory compliance framework.
Training Program Oversight
- Lead training compliance efforts and contribute to the development and delivery of internal learning programs.
- Support staff education initiatives for employees across the organization.
- Help build scalable training systems that reinforce quality and consistency.
Policies, SOPs, and Handbooks
- Create, update, and maintain organizational policies, standard operating procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Work collaboratively with the Chief Compliance Officer, Chief People Officer, and People & Culture team to keep documentation current and effective.
Additional Program Support
- Assist in the development and management of Opal's Student Analyst Program.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in the ABA field is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Healthcare Administration, Training, or a closely related area is expected, though equivalent experience may be considered.
- At least 3 years of experience in compliance, quality assurance, training, clinical oversight, or a similar healthcare role is required.
- Background in documentation audits, incident investigations, quality improvement, or regulatory compliance is needed.
- Experience creating and facilitating employee training programs is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, including the ability to present to both individuals and groups.
- Excellent organization and a high level of attention to detail are essential.
- Comfort with technology platforms, learning management systems, and AI-enabled productivity tools is expected.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities while using good judgment and protecting confidentiality is important.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master's degree in ABA, Healthcare Compliance, Education, Training, or a related discipline is preferred.
- BCBA certification in good standing is strongly preferred.
- Experience with CentralReach or a comparable electronic health record system is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, commercial payer, and ABA regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Experience creating CEU or PDU programming is helpful.
- Experience building eLearning modules with tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, or similar software is preferred.
- Experience using AI tools to create scalable training content is an added advantage.
