Role Overview
This full-time role in Dubai is for a Commi 1 Pastry professional who will support the production of pastries, desserts, and gluten-free baked items that meet Honestry’s clean-label standards. The position calls for careful preparation, accurate execution of recipes, and consistent quality across taste, texture, and presentation.
What You Will Do
- Prepare, bake, and finish pastries, desserts, and gluten-free bakery items according to company recipes and standards.
- Measure, combine, and handle ingredients with precision to ensure reliable product quality.
- Operate bakery tools and equipment safely and effectively during daily production.
- Portion, decorate, and present products in a neat and visually appealing manner.
- Support mise en place, stock movement, and inventory rotation to keep production organized.
- Follow strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety routines at all times.
- Store and label ingredients and finished products correctly to maintain freshness and compliance.
- Help maintain consistency in flavour, texture, and appearance across all output.
Skills and Experience
- Strong base knowledge of bakery and pastry preparation.
- Practical experience making desserts or pastry items in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to contribute ideas for product development, garnishing, and presentation.
- Good understanding of hygiene standards and cross-contamination prevention.
- Basic cooking knowledge to assist with sauces, fillings, and related components.
- Experience in a professional bakery, pastry shop, or commercial kitchen is required.
- Capability to work from standardized recipes and follow instructions closely.
- Comfort working efficiently under deadlines and production pressure.
- Availability for early shifts, weekends, or busy periods based on operational needs.
- Interest in gluten-free or health-conscious baking is a plus.
