Chief of Engineering

Role Overview

The Chief of Engineering will be responsible for leading the engineering department at the Budhni facility. This pivotal role demands a focus on achieving operational excellence across critical areas including Utilities, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations, Solar power generation, and Workshop management. The position emphasizes strict adherence to compliance standards, efficient and timely completion of engineering projects, and strategic cost optimization, all while enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of the engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure complete adherence to all statutory, social, and environmental compliance regulations, including those set by CTO, MOEF, and other governing bodies.
• Direct and manage the operations of the Utilities department, guaranteeing an uninterrupted supply of power, water, and steam, alongside optimal system performance.
• Oversee the functioning of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), ensuring all environmental norms are met and zero discharge targets are achieved.
• Supervise the operations of the Solar power plant to maximize energy generation and maintain high levels of system reliability.
• Lead and manage all Workshop activities, encompassing both preventive maintenance schedules and prompt breakdown repairs for all plant equipment.
• Ensure compliance with external testing requirements, maintaining a 100% pass rate for all submitted samples.
• Implement strategies to optimize conversion costs related to water and wastewater treatment, ensuring these costs remain within established target benchmarks.
• Champion and drive initiatives for continuous improvement focused on enhancing energy efficiency, reducing operational costs, and improving process reliability.
• Foster collaboration with various cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of engineering projects and audits.

Additional Information

The role requires presence at both Barnala (Punjab) and Budhni (MP) locations.
