Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position for a CCTV Technician in the United Arab Emirates. The selected candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining CCTV and related security equipment at customer locations. The role includes working with cameras, NVR/DVR units, network switches, cabling, and power supplies, along with fieldwork such as site surveys, cable routing and termination, camera mounting, alignment, and system optimization to ensure clear image quality and proper coverage.

Key Duties

• Install and set up CCTV systems and associated security devices at client sites.
• Configure and test IP and analog camera systems, NVR/DVR units, and related peripherals.
• Carry out site surveys, plan cable routes, and complete cable pulling, termination, and labeling.
• Mount, align, and fine-tune cameras to achieve the required viewing angles and coverage.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues in CCTV installations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and verify the ongoing performance of installed systems.
• Record system settings, service actions, and equipment inventory accurately.
• Work closely with project engineers and follow company standards and safety procedures.
• Provide basic system handover and user guidance to clients when required.
• Support the integration of CCTV with other ELV and security systems.

Technical and Professional Requirements

• Hands-on experience in CCTV installation, setup, testing, and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of IP and analog camera systems, NVR/DVR equipment, and related devices.
• Understanding of low-voltage systems, structured cabling, UTP, fiber, and basic networking concepts such as IP addressing, switches, and routers.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, layouts, cable schedules, and product manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and familiarity with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Awareness of health, safety, and security practices for site-based work, including proper use of ladders, power tools, and PPE.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for dealing with clients, supervisors, and site teams.
• Technical diploma or certificate in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline; vendor or security-system certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in a CCTV, ELV, or low-voltage role, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage and travel between project sites may be required.
• Ability to work in field conditions, manage time well, and handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
