Catering Assistant

Role Overview

Supermac's Eyre Square in Galway is hiring catering assistants for both full-time and part-time shifts. This position is focused on delivering excellent service, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations across the site.

The role spans multiple service areas, including Supermac’s, Papa John's, SuperSubs, Mac’s Deli, Bewley’s Barista, and Spar. You’ll interact with customers, teammates, and managers in a courteous and efficient way while following training, handbook standards, and company procedures.

What the Job Involves

• Provide consistently warm, friendly service to every customer who visits the site.
• Work across different areas while meeting company standards and safety and quality expectations.
• Contribute as a team player and maintain respectful working relationships with colleagues and management.
• Follow approved training and instructions for food preparation, production, and storage.
• Represent the business professionally at all times, both on-site and away from the premises.
• Support management efforts to grow customer numbers and increase spend in the restaurant each day.
• Handle cash in line with the procedures set by management.
• Maintain correct uniform and personal presentation in accordance with company rules.
• Stay flexible and move between all site areas whenever the manager requests it.
• Put customer needs first throughout the shift, whether early morning or late evening.
• Deal with complaints and incidents appropriately and escalate them to the supervisor or manager when needed.
• Keep the lobby and customer toilets clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.

Applicants should have a friendly, outgoing manner, enjoy working with the public, and be fully available for weekdays and weekends. Only candidates who live in Ireland and are legally permitted to work there will be considered.
