Role overview
This is an entry-level operations role focused on handling routine to moderately complex transfer processing in partnership with the Transaction Services team. The position exists to support cash and trade activities and help complete assigned processing work accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out cash management tasks including handling cash, processing cheques, dealing with returned items, and supporting lockbox activities.
- Support processing for firm payments, receivables, trade transactions, liquidity movements, and wholesale card operations.
- Provide hands-on assistance in the execution of payment, receivables, trade, liquidity, and card-related workflows.
- Act as a knowledge resource for user acceptance testing and training efforts, including onboarding and coaching newer or junior team members.
- Take part in compliance-focused activities aimed at reducing losses and strengthening controls.
- Contribute to operational projects connected to cash and trade processing.
- Make decisions with appropriate risk awareness, protect the firm’s reputation, uphold laws, rules, regulations, policies, and ethical standards, and escalate or report control issues clearly and promptly.
Experience and qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Prior exposure to cash management processing and transaction services is expected.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office tools and accurate data entry is necessary.
Education
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
