Calibration Technician - UAE

Role Overview

This short-term calibration role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and focuses on supporting critical and non-critical process equipment as well as laboratory standards. The position requires hands-on calibration expertise, strong documentation practices, and close coordination with internal teams and outside vendors.

Key Duties

• Plan and carry out calibration activities for critical and non-critical process equipment and laboratory standards.
• Complete all supporting records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Work with external vendors for repair and/or calibration services and help process purchase orders.
• Develop and roll out new standard operating procedures for internal calibration work.
• Recommend updates and revisions to SOPs to help move the lab toward a Type 1 standards calibration capability.
• Take part in calibration system audits.
• Deliver responsive customer support and handle certification training for staff.
• Perform maintenance tasks in support of UAE operations in line with standard U.S. Army maintenance concepts, practices, procedures, and AR 750-1.
• Transfer task knowledge and operational know-how to UAE military calibration technicians through on-the-job training.
• Help UAE calibration technicians build the capability to independently support PATRIOT calibration activities.

Required Background

Candidates need a solid foundation in digital electronics and RF/Microwave, plus at least 4 years of experience calibrating electronic equipment. A strong grasp of measurement, calibration, and instrumentation principles is essential. The role also demands careful attention to detail, disciplined adherence to procedures, accurate record-keeping, and reliable measurement practices. Proficiency with computers and work-related software is required. The ability to obtain and keep a U.S. government security clearance is mandatory, and U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens can qualify for clearance.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with different measurement tools, including how they operate, are maintained, and are calibrated.
• Solid mathematical ability for calculations and interpretation of numerical data.
• Experience with International Patriot FMS programs.
• Prior work in an overseas environment.
• Background in Contractor Logistics Support.

Education

A bachelor's degree in engineering, or an associate degree in engineering or applied science, or a high school diploma with relevant experience may be considered, depending on the level of related experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary range for this role is USD 86,800 to USD 165,200. This is an onsite assignment, and the successful candidate is expected to work primarily at the location.
