Company Overview
SurfX is a Qatar-based platform focused on lifestyle and leisure experiences. It helps users reserve premium activities such as beach clubs, hotel pools, surfing, jet skiing, and similar offerings through a single booking app.
The team is looking for a Business Development Intern to support partner acquisition across Qatar over a 3-month period.
Role Summary
This position is for a Business Development & Partnerships Intern in Doha, Qatar. The role includes part-time flexibility and can be handled in a hybrid setup with remote work options.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit and engage potential partners in person, including hotels, beach clubs, activity operators, and retail brands.
- Carry out outreach efforts and manage follow-up communication.
- Assist in securing partnership agreements and onboarding premium venues onto the platform.
- Collaborate closely with the founding team on business development activity.
Candidate Profile
- Must already be located in Qatar.
- Should be available to work part-time for the next 3 months.
- Prior internship or work experience in a similar area is beneficial.
- Needs to be confident, presentable, and comfortable participating in business meetings.
- Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car for meetings across Doha.
- A background in hospitality, sales, or tourism is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- Should bring energy, initiative, and a strong interest in startup environments.
- Working knowledge of Notion is preferred.
