Role overview
DataTroops is seeking a Business Development Executive focused on Upwork and freelance marketplaces. This is a full-time, on-site role in Mohali for someone who is driven by results and has practical experience in bidding on projects and handling client conversations.
What you will do
- Find suitable projects on Upwork and submit bids for them.
- Draft tailored proposals that match each client’s needs.
- Interact with international clients and clearly understand their requirements.
- Turn enquiries and leads into long-term business relationships.
- Work with internal teams to help ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
What we are looking for
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience using Upwork.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to write persuasive proposals and client-focused responses.
- Working knowledge of IT services and how to assess project scope.
- Capability to generate leads and support business growth.
Experience
The preferred experience range for this role is 1 to 2 years, specifically with Upwork or similar freelancing platforms.
