This contract opportunity is for a Business Analyst to support delivery on an international programme in Germany.

Capture and document business needs, including current-state and future-state process views.
Facilitate requirements workshops and assess outcomes using structured and creative techniques.
Gather, merge, analyse, and define both functional and non-functional requirements.
Investigate technical issues and develop possible solutions, including strategic evaluation and recommendations.
Use a range of requirements analysis approaches such as user stories, process analysis, modelling methods, evaluation techniques, and potentially AI-supported methods.
Build clarity around conflicting demands and guide stakeholders toward a shared cross-functional solution.
Run reviews and confirm requirement quality through checks for traceability, completeness, and consistency.
Maintain control over changes, versions, and traceability while coordinating technically across the full requirement lifecycle.
Keep requirements and outcomes updated in knowledge management tools or roadmap/backlog systems.
Advise from a technical perspective to ensure alignment with target IT architecture, IT strategy, regulatory obligations, and project progress.
Coordinate across complex project setups and feed learnings back into ongoing requirement improvement.
Support the Product Owner with requirement analysis and market evaluation.
Identify business process improvement opportunities and propose practical solutions.

Proven professional background as a Business Analyst.
Hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
Working knowledge of German energy utilities and the regulatory framework of the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA).
Practical experience using Affinity Designer.
At least one completed project delivered for a grid operator or energy supplier.
